We truly appreciate the Above and Beyond effort our employees put in and enjoy recognizing an employee each month for their volunteer efforts! Read on to see who was chosen for Azura's September Volunteer of the Month.
Our September Volunteer of the Month is Haven Byrne, our Mortgage Loan Manager. We caught up with Haven and asked a few questions about where and why she loves volunteering.

Why did you decide to become a volunteer?
Every year (except for 2020) I volunteer in different compacities. This was my first time cleaning up Azura trails. I like to take part in things that really make an impact in our community. I know that Azura Trails is a place where community members get out and enjoy the outdoors. There was one lady enjoying the trails and she had a bag with her picking up trash on her walk. She was behind us and caught up. She said she wondered why there wasn't any trash to pick up that day. :-)
What's your favorite thing about volunteering?
I love the different opportunities that we get to volunteer in the community. It feels good to help clean things up, prepare meals, make toys for kids for Christmas, whatever it may be. Our community does the great things that it does with the help of so many volunteers.
If someone is deciding whether or not to volunteer - what would you tell them?
DO IT! Even if it's something that you've never done before, it's worth it. It's a time to get out and meet people, help people that need help and it's a feel good all in one!
