Movie on the Capitol Lawn: A Neverending Story

Bring your kiddos to downtown Topeka for a classic movie on a beautiful summer evening! A Neverending Story will be shown on the south lawn of the Topeka Capitol. The movie will begin at 7:45 pm on Friday, June 7th. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome at this event!

Kansas Chocolate Festival 2019

Join other chocolate lovers on downtown Kansas Ave on June 15th to celebrate all things chocolate! The annual Chocolate Festival is gearing up to be another great event! Attendees can enjoy learning, tasting and shopping for everything chocolate! The outdoor event is completely free, with an optional ticketed indoor chocolate experience. There will be food trucks, a craft show and more!

Hy-Vee Family Free Night at the Kansas Children's Discovery Center

Hy-Vee Free Family Fun Nights is a chance to explore the Kansas Children's Discovery Center FOR FREE during extended hours. The next free night, made possible by support from Hy-Vee, is June 20th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The Discovery Center features 15,000 square feet of indoor educational play, including science, careers, building and art. Special areas for infants and toddlers let even the littlest explorers adventure. Kids can get outside in a 4.5 acre certified Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom. Discovery Space invites you to experience out-of-this-world fun with a rocket ship, mission control, and more through August 14.
Hops and Horses for Heroes

Join others on Saturday, June 22nd from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Happy Basset Brewing Company’s new East location for the first annual Hops & Horses for Heroes, a collaboration between Happy Basset Brewing Co and Hope and Healing Academy, marking the start of a new equine therapy program for first responders and veterans. Attendees will enjoy live music from Amber Waves and Evolution, food trucks, yard games and more!

Pig 'n Pour

There's a new festival coming to town on Saturday, June 29th from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Stop by the Kansas Expocentre for great food and beverages! The Pig 'n Pour festival, presented by Johnsonville, will feature the best and most creative pork samplings from local restaurants, catering companies and food trucks! Attendees will enjoy several beer gardens and a collectible passport, that grants you a samples from each restaurant, and a souvenir bag!
