Azura Credit Union strives to improve more lives through various programs and initiatives, including our two scholarship opportunities, the Above and Beyond Scholarship and the Diane Wright Memorial Scholarship. This year, we asked for a short video as part of the application, and we were thoroughly impressed by all the thoughtful, creative submissions!
Azura's Above and Beyond scholarship has been awarded to Nicole Bloomquist. Nicole is a senior at Shawnee Heights High School. She will be attending either KU or Wichita State in the fall. Her planned field of study will be Political Science and Spanish. Nicole stays active in Orchestra, Scholars Bowl Team, Model United Nations, Theater and more. We can't wait to see what's in store for the future for Nicole!
Azura's Diane Wright Memorial Scholarship has been awarded to Brooke Petefish. Brooke attends Washburn University and plans to graduate in Spring 2022. Her field of study is in English Education, with a minor in Spanish and she hopes to become an English/ESOL Teacher after graduation. Brooke stays involved by being a Washburn University Cheerleader and being a member of Zeta Tau Alpha. We can't wait to see Brooke become a great teacher after graduation.
