Making a difference is easy in our community with an Azura Community Impact Debit Card. Our free debit card program allows you to voice where you’d like us to focus our funds based on a simple swipe of your debit card. We are excited to announce that our Community Impact donations reached a total of $29, 461.85. Read on to find out where the funds were donated and how you can be involved moving forward.
What is the Community Impact Debit Card program?
Azura’s Community Impact Debit Card program is available with all Azura checking accounts at no charge. Members select one of the participating organizations for their debit card. Each time a member uses their card to make a purchase, Azura Credit Union donates five cents to the member's chosen organization. The funds come from Azura, not the members account. This program provides our members with the opportunity to select an organization close to their heart, resulting in an easy win for the community.
We currently have seven participating charities. The organizations selected align with one of Azura’s areas of focus: education, quality of life & fundamental needs, health & wellness and community revitalization.
Members can choose from the following participating charities:
- Boys and Girls Clubs of Topeka
- Harvesters - The Community Food Network
- MVP, Military Veteran Project
- Supporting Kids Foundation
- TARC
- Topeka Community Cycle Project
- TRM, Topeka Rescue Mission
2018 Donations
With over 2,600 members participating in the program, we were able to donate $29,461.85 in 2018! At five cents for each swipe, our members used their Community Impact debit cards a total of 589,237 times last year. Thank you to our Community Impact members for helping to make a difference for all seven of our participating charities.
