Meet Karen, Azura Software Administrator

Karen's role at Azura is pivotal to the credit union's daily operations. Her responsibilities span a wide range of tasks essential for the institution's smooth functioning.

"A lot of what I do," she explains, "is setting up new users during the onboarding process and ensuring they have the right access to applications. I work extensively with various credit union software systems. Additionally, I handle IT help tickets and liaise with different vendors when necessary to resolve issues."

Karen's work is a testament to the intricate web of technology that underpins financial institutions like Azura. Her expertise ensures that every piece of the digital puzzle fits seamlessly.

Finding Joy in Problem-Solving

When asked about her favorite aspect of the job, Karen lights up with enthusiasm.

Protecting the Credit Union and Its Members

In the age of cyber threats, safeguarding the credit union and its members is paramount.

"Managing the users is a big deal. We need to ensure that the right people have appropriate access to programs. Keeping information up to date is crucial for the safety of our members and employees."

Her diligence and attention to detail are instrumental in maintaining the fortress that protects Azura and its members from fraud and cyber threats.

Words of Wisdom from a Seasoned IT Professional

As we wrap up our conversation with Karen, we ask her for advice that she would offer someone seeking a career in IT or considering a transition to a role like hers.

"When I was going to college, I had an outstanding professor who told me that if you're going to get into IT, things are always changing. So, the most important thing is to learn how to learn. Life is ever-changing; today, you may be doing this job, and tomorrow, you may be doing another. Don't be afraid of it. Things will change, so keep learning."

Karen's advice is a guiding light for those embarking on a journey in the dynamic field of IT and cybersecurity.
